About Letters by Kang

My name is Jen, hollering from the sunny Southern California! 

I started Letters by Kang in 2023 in hopes of sharing my love for calligraphy and hand lettering. I wanted calligraphy and lettering to be something more approachable. You don't have to be an "artist" or a hardcore "calligrapher" to practice the art of writing! That is also the reason why you will see that I call myself a calligraphy/ lettering "enthusiast," because as long as you have the passion, you can be part of this community too!

You will see me practice calligraphy and lettering a lot on my bullet journal, a media that is readily available for everyone! I often use my monthly journal prompts to encourage daily handwriting and calligraphy/lettering. 

In April of 2023, my journey led me to opening of my Etsy shop, where I have the honor to share my hand lettered goodies to people who appreciate my calligraphy and lettering style. I am so grateful for all the support that people have given my small shop since the launch.

I also have a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree, which I use to teach pharmacy students occasionally. So don't be surprised if you see a lot of healthcare related goodies in my shop!
